The place
Cappadocia is a landscape made twice: once by volcanic ash and erosion, and again by the people who cut homes, churches and entire underground cities into the soft stone.
The balloons launch at sunrise because that is when the air is still. Whether you fly or watch from a ridge, the day starts early here.
